Kath has been with the firm since 1993 and was a partner for a number of years. Kath is now a consultant in the commercial team where she specialises in banking and finance.
Kath acts for a number of banks and lending institutions, advising on commercial lending transactions and the structuring of securities. She also undertakes a large amount of debt recovery work throughout New Zealand, advising various creditors on the most cost effective manner to recover debts.
Kath's particular area of interest is the Personal Property Securities Act 1999 and the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003. Kath also enjoys assisting rural families with their transition and succession planning.
When not working at Harmans Kath is likely to be enjoying equestrian pursuits or lending a hand on the 1600ha North Canterbury sheep and beef farm where she lives with her husband.
