Lewis joined the Harmans team in June 2019 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (History) at the University of Canterbury in 2018. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in September 2019.
Lewis is part of a team that specialises in residential and commercial property law, trust law, and asset protection matters. He regularly acts for first home buyers and can advise on KiwiSaver withdrawals and applications for the First Home Grant. Recently, Lewis has been gaining experience working on subdivisions throughout Canterbury. Lewis enjoys working with a wide range of clients to achieve meaningful and realistic results, with his work underpinned by a positive working relationship with every client.
Lewis is heavily involved in Highland and National Dancing, having been named the 2017 and 2018 18 & Over Champion of Champions at the New Zealand Highland Dancing Championships. Lewis is a South Island Representative on the Executive Council of the New Zealand Academy of Highland and National Dancing, the Treasurer of the Christchurch Balmoral (Teachers and Judges) Club, and a committee member of the Piping and Dancing Association of NZ, Canterbury West Coast Centre. Lewis actively judges and teaches highland dancing throughout New Zealand.
Outside of work, Lewis enjoys exploring the city of Christchurch with family and friends. His strong familial links to South Canterbury take him down south often.
